Ω Vintage 1969 OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Mark II (ref. 145.014）- 42mmvery，cal. 861 機芯。nice mint condition unpolished !
Do you know omega actually relaunch a 2014 version based on this classic Mark II version ? It is not any Seamaster Professional , it is THE MARK II ! https://www.omegawatches.com/watches/speedmaster/mark-ii/product/ Even though some of these MARK's were also considered a Speedmaster Professional, none of them were flight qualified for manned space missions by NASA. Only the Mark II and Mark V feature the same hand-wound movement as the Speedmaster Pro 145.022. The others have different automatic (Lemania based) caliber 1040 chronograph movements. Is there a Mark I ? If we do not consider the Speedmaster Professional (145.012/145.022) as a Mark I, there are 4 official Speedmaster Mark Series. The 1st one was the Mark II (introduced in 1969), followed by the Mark III, Mark IV and Mark V. The last Mark, the V, was introduced in 1984 and is the last one of this series. SO..... It’s now a chance to own this master piece in Omega history ! ::: WATCH INFO ::: Brand Omega Movement Automatic Case material Stainless Steel Bracelet material Stainless Steel Year 1970s CALIBER Movement Automatic CASE Case material Stainless Steel Case diameter 42 mm Glass Mineral Glass Dial Black with index marker luminar BRACELET/STRAP Bracelet material Stainless Steel Bracelet length 210 mm :::About omega calibre 861 movement ::: Reference: 861 Base: Lemania 1873 Movement: Manual Winding Display: Analog Diameter: 27mm Jewels: 18 Reserve: 48 hours Chronograph: Chronograph Hands: Small Seconds, Hours, Minutes Created in 1968 17 jewels until 1992 18 jewels since 1993 Used on second generation "moon watches". First of all, why buy a Seamaster Professional Mark II not the other version? Mark II was not the most popular version when the time of the launch. And because of this reason there are not many of them in the market ! The most hated becomes the most love and scarce nowadays. Hilarious right 😅 https://www.omegawatches.com/watches/speedmaster/mark-ii/product/ Omega quote “In 1969, the same year we broke our terrestrial bonds and set foot on another world, OMEGA introduced the new-look Speedmaster Mark II, a timepiece with a streamlined case. OMEGA proudly introduces the classic chronograph in an updated form.” THE 1969 MARK II - The 1969 Speedmaster Mark II was equipped with the hand-wound calibre 861. A little history about this watch OMEGA SPEEDMASTER PROFESSIONAL MARK II : Sometime in 1969, Omega introduced the first Speedmaster Mark II (145.014), which was actually a Speedmaster "Professional" Mark II. ( the “Mark” in the name stands for a new or revised/improved version; it is similar to calling something a “2.0 version” these days.) The Speedmaster Mark II came with the same Lemania-based movement as the Moonwatch, Reference 145.022. This movement is Omega’s Caliber 861 and was in production from 1968 through about 1996, when it was succeeded by the Caliber 1861 movement. The Speedmaster Mark II had a barrel-shaped case that looked totally different from the asymmetrical Speedmaster Professional case. OTHER MARK III, IV, V... - When Omega stopped production of the Speedmaster Mark II in 1972, the Mark III already had been introduced. - The Speedmaster Mark III was succeeded by the Mark IV in 1973. -Then there is the Mark 4.5 (which is a Mark IV with a different movement, an Omega Caliber 1045), which came on the market in 1974. -The last one of the Speedmaster Mark series is the Mark V, introduced around 1984. ________ If you like what are listing please make sure to follow us.
